Challenges

• Maximise the efficiency of the client’s Windows-based operations and systems.
• Manage and implement CI/CD pipelines and centralised network configurations compatible with Windows.
• Assist with general production operations, including product releases, system monitoring, and infrastructure optimisation.
• Monitor Windows-based services using tools such as Datadog.
• Work closely with developers to find and solve issues and prevent system failures.
• Improve security, and protect systems against threats.

Must have

• Working experience in Windows system administration and implementing best practices for information security
• Experience in managing SQL and IIS servers
• Experience with TCP/IP networking, firewalls, and VPNs
• Expertise AWS, Google, Azure, and/or other cloud solutions
• Good understanding of Windows Powershell scripting and Powershell DSC technology
• Ability to work with one or more server management tools, such as Microsoft SCCM
• Deep knowledge of virtual server software, like Hyper-V and Xen
• Knowledge of application containerization, including Docker
• Solid understanding of configuration management tools such as Chef, Ansible, and SaltStack
• Fluency in spoken and written English

Good to have

• Knowledge of C++ and .Net
• Familiarity with industry-accepted IS standards
• Experience in hardening Windows systems
• Working knowledge of version control software (Git)
• Experience with CI tools such as Travis-CI, CircleCI, and Jenkins
• Firm grasp on process and incident documentation
